The Mouse:
Flagstaff Mouse is actually the mouse here. He travels with Kelly Vilven, who will be writing and editing the majority of the posts on this blog. Kelly has been traveling since she was tiny. She rode in her baby carrier for her first cross-country trip, which included Yellowstone and Bryce National Parks. Spending the summers traveling around the country with her grandparents led to a love for travel that only grows more with each destination.
Kelly is creative and enthusiastic. Photography, dancing, writing, music, art, and scrapbooking all give her energy. (Marmot says she “scrapbooks” everything – from cards to walls to the yard). Kelly tries to convey the beauty of the everyday and the joy of following your passions in her photos and art.

The Marmot:
Marmot is the not-so-top-secret pseudonym for Ryan MacDicken – Kelly’s favorite travel companion. Ryan’s job takes him around the world. Sometimes he winds up at top tourist destinations – other times, well off the beaten path. He often spends a few extra days exploring, and will write about the places he visits. From climbing mountains to hitchhiking across Mykonos, Ryan is up for anything. He captures the essence of the places he visits and the people he meets in his photos.
We are both eager to share our experiences with you. We hope that we can inspire you to travel more and help to make those journeys more enjoyable.
